Discover OKW’s Customisable Enclosures and Tuning Knobs
CNC Machining
We can quickly and reliably machine cutouts/apertures for interfaces, displays, operating elements, cable inlets/outlets, threaded holes, recesses for foils and more. You will receive a fully finished housing, ready for installation of your electronics.
Special processes
Reduction of the wall thickness on the inside of the enclosure for partially backlit surfaces, so light from LEDs fitted behind them shines through. This is ideal for temperature or individual status indicators. The enclosure’s IP rating is not affected.
Mechanical processing for push-button fastenings (male or female). Recommended for smaller OKW enclosures.
Colour and surface finishing
Choose colours to match your company’s branding or the required application. Options include varying degrees of lustre from matt to gloss, metallic colours, soft-touch haptics and ESD-conductive lacquer to prevent electrostatic discharges.
Depending on the quantity, we can also mould many of our housings and tuning knobs in custom-coloured plastics.
Labelling and marking
We can print logos, legends and graphics in your preferred colours – from single-colour lettering to precise multi-colour prints, even with colour gradients. Options now include fluorescent inks for high visibility and photoluminescent/phosphorescent inks for dark environments.
Laser marking is ideal for individual lettering and labelling – especially for very small machine-readable QR codes, barcodes, DataMatrix codes and for consecutive numbering of individual parts.
Decor foils
For labelling and colour designs, films can be digitally printed quickly and easily and provided with an adhesive layer.
If required, we can also print in full-tone white, cut out display/LED windows, emboss the foils for key functions, and glue the foils to the enclosures.
EMC shielding
Protection from EMI/RFI. We use our own in-house vapour-plating facility to coat the inside of plastic parts with aluminium.
The 99.98 percent pure aluminum coating is applied (high vacuum) with a thickness of about 2.5 µm. Other coating thicknesses are available upon request.
Assembly/installation
Services include assembly of enclosure accessories (such as cable glands, pocket clips, wall mountings), application of keyboard/decor foils, type plates, display windows and mounting pillars, and assembly/packaging to customer specifications.
